New Orleans is such a unique city and has been on my bucket list of places to visit for a very long time. The architecture, the food, the music, the history, NOLA really seems to have it all!
Minnesotan’s are an active bunch and take full advantage of the outdoor spaces we have. That might be even more true in the winter because it’s not easy to get out and about, but we do it anyway.
So rather than hiding under a heated blanket until Spring, here are some insider tips for things to do in Minnesota this winter, embrace the cold like a local and break up that cabin fever!
The holidays are upon us and unlike last year, we can take full advantage of what the season has to offer again! From pop-up markets to beautiful light displays and bars who’ve taken ‘deck the halls’ to another level (and put even Clark Griswold to shame,) there is no shortage of ways to get in the festive spirit in the Twin Cities!
I recently got back from not one, but 2 long weekends in Kansas City and had such an amazing time! There is so much you can pack into just one weekend from eating BBQ, bar hopping, strolling through museums, and checking out the seemingly never-ending supply of amazing street art, Kansas City is one amazing city!
The Park Rapids Lakes Area is a favorite family summer vacation destination for so many city dwellers looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I look forward to Fall every year. When the air gets cooler, the colors turn golden, and pumpkin spice is in everything, I can’t wait to partake in all of my favorite things the short season has to offer.
I’ve been hitting the trails recently and my most recent trek was along the St. Croix River, about 40 mins outside of the Twin Cities.
I had a wonderful solo-adventure day full of woods, prairie, wetlands, and river trails that were all too good not to share. Read more about it below!
I’ve learned to be pretty flexible during the pandemic, working around last minute cancelations, location closures and crowd avoidance. If anything good has come out of the COVID pandemic it’s how much people are exploring close to home and utilizing all of the green spaces that we normally take for granted.
